Yes, you can! If you use WelcomR to manage both your parking bookings and your parking access system, Waldo can sync directly with it. That way, when someone books a parking spot, their access to the parking is automatically granted. Smooth, right?
💡 Here's how to set it up:
- Go to the Waldo admin portal > Global settings > Integrations
- Click Add integration
- Give it a label and select the parking location you'd like to connect
- In the WelcomR token field, paste the token provided by WelcomR
- Click Check – this will allow Waldo to connect to the WelcomR API to authorize user access
- Under access settings, define whether parking access is via badge (currently, this is the only supported option – so it's enabled by default)
- Click Add a path and select the relevant WelcomR path. You can add multiple paths if needed
- Click Save
- Once saved, click Assign access badge to users
- Select the users and assign them the appropriate badge
ℹ️ You can also assign badges directly from the User tab in each user’s profile.
⏰ Time range booking
Waldo automatically defines access times based on the parking booking period. Here's how it works:
- When a user books a parking spot in Waldo for the whole day, Waldo sends an authorization to WelcomR from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- When a user books a parking spot for the morning only, Waldo sends an authorization from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- When a user books a parking spot for the afternoon only, Waldo sends an authorization from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
🔐 Data shared with WelcomR
Waldo sends the user's badge number, email and Azure ID of the user to the WelcomR system.
