If you're having issues affecting the Microsoft Teams app, clearing the cache on your device can help. After you've cleared your cache, restart Teams. |
Notes :
- You will not lose any user data by clearing the cache.
Restarting Teams after you've cleared the cache may take longer than usual because the Teams cache file needs to be regenerated.
Clear Teams cache in Windows
- If the Teams application is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.
- After that, open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
- In the Run dialog box, enter the following path:
%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams - Click OK ad delete all files and folders in the directory.
- Restart Teams.

Clear Teams cache in macOS
- If the Teams application is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
- In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
- Enter the following command, and then press Return:
rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams
- Restart Teams.
