As an admin, you can activate the option “Allow users to enable Ghost mode” in the Waldo management portal. Once enabled, users will see the option “Show my avatar (and other people's avatars) as ghost icons” in their personal app settings.
When Ghost mode is on, the user's location is hidden—and they won’t be able to see where others are either (at the office, remote, etc.). But don't worry: desks are still booked, and your occupancy metrics remain accurate.
How to enable Ghost mode as an admin
- Head over to the Waldo admin portal: https://admin.hellowaldo.app
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 admin account.
- Go to Global Settings → General settings.
- Toggle on "Allow users to activate Ghost mode".
- Once activated, users can manage Ghost mode individually in their settings.
How users activate Ghost mode
- Open the Waldo app and go to Settings.
- Look for the option to “Show my avatar as a ghost icon”.
- Enable it if you prefer privacy and don’t need to track others either.
