Some of you may have noticed that the Waldo bot wasn’t always responding during check-in. After a bit of digging, we confirmed our suspicion: the issue came from an authentication hiccup.
💡 Good news: we’ve fixed it.
The check-in bot no longer asks the Waldo APIs for information. Instead, it pulls directly from the database. This means no more authentication required for the bot at check-in time — making the process both simpler and faster. No impact on security ✅
ℹ️ Side note: we’re also preparing an update to transform the bot into a notification-only helper. Going forward, questions will be handled by the Waldo Copilot agent instead.
