This article describes how to set up a map on the Waldo management portal. |

To set up the map feature, you will need to upload your office map as an image (png, jpg). Maximum size is 10MB per map.
1 - Request your map design

2 - Upload your map
- Go to the Waldo management portal: https://admin.hellowaldo.app
- Authenticate using your Microsoft 365 account.
- Navigate to the Maps page.
- On left bar menu, select the office building and click on the Create new map... button.
If you plan to upload a map that is for an office building, make sure you have created it first. If the map is for an area, make sure you have added the area inside the office building. - On the Create new map, give the map a name and SAVE.
If you already have a map in your selected building and you want to add a new map inside, select the map area and press the expand button to access the "+ New map for {building}" feature.
- Click the "Upload an image from your computer..." button to select the file from your device. A file browser window will typically open allowing you to browse your computer's files. Find the image (*.png | *.jpg | *.jpeg) you want to upload and select it.
- Once the upload is complete, click the SAVE button that appears on the right corner of the page.
- Finish: Once everything is done, you can start placing the desks.
If it says, "Waldo licenses are required to activate this feature." you can contact us to activate your free test.
3 - Placing the desks
- Once done, select a desk from the left column, then click on the map to place the desk.
- Click SAVE.
- If you'd like to add more maps (floor 1, floor 2, etc...) for the same office, click on the map name and select "+ New map for ...".
4 - Update the map
- Click the "Change the map image" button to select the file from your device. A file browser window will typically open allowing you to browse your computer's files. Find the image (*.png | *.jpg | *.jpeg) you want to upload and select it.
- Once the upload is complete, click the SAVE button in the right corner of the page to save the changes.
- when you replace it with the updated plan, the map will appear larger or shrink than before and you will have to re-adjust the position of the pins on the map, This is due to the request for adjustment to the new plan.
- The plan, may not be applied immediately in the Waldo app, so you will have to wait a while.
- If you delete a desk or desks within an area, the changes will not be instantaneous and the changes will be visible the next day. (This is due to the reservation process.)
5 - Placing the points of interest
- Click the point of interest you'd like to add (such as a fire extinguisher, etc).
- Then, click the [+ Add ... ] button and place it on the map as in the below image example.
- Once finished, click the SAVE button in the right corner of the page to save your changes.
