This article describes how Waldo manages users deleted or deactivated from the Microsoft 365 admin portal.
With Waldo, you don't need to create users manually. Since Waldo is a native Microsoft Teams app, it communicates directly with your Microsoft 365 tenant.
No user data or credentials are stored by Waldo. Neat, right? 🤓 More about our architecture: Architecture and data
Check if user management is activated or deactivated
Depending on how you configure the Waldo app in the admin portal, user deletion and deactivation are handled differently. To check if the "user management" is enabled or disabled, go to http://admin.hellowaldo.app/consent
If "user management" is not activated in the features list
- When a user is added to Microsoft 365, they will appear in Waldo after 24 hours.
- When a user is deleted from Microsoft 365, they will be removed from Waldo after 24 hours.
- When a user is deactivated, they remain visible in Waldo.
If "user management" is activated in the features list
- When a user is added to Microsoft 365, they will immediately appear in Waldo.
- When a user is deleted from Microsoft 365, they will promptly disappear from Waldo. Any reservations they had will also be deleted.
- When a user is deactivated, they will be removed from Waldo after 24 hours. Their reservations will also be deleted at that time.
Note: When a user is deleted or deactivated, the Waldo license will be unassigned automatically in the admin portal, and that user will disappear from your Licenses list.
