💡 You’ve opened your Waldo app or notification expecting a check-in button... but there’s nothing there. Meanwhile, your teammates are checking in just fine?
This might be perfectly normal.
You probably have a dedicated desk
By default, Waldo doesn’t require check-in for users with a dedicated (fixed) desk. Here's how to check:
Open your Waldo app
Tap Settings
Go to Desk reservation
Look for Dedicated desk
If this you see a dedicated desk in the list, then that’s it — Waldo won’t ask you to check in.
Want to change that behaviour?
✅ You can — but only if you're a Waldo administrator.
Here’s how to require check-ins for users with a fixed desk too:
Go to the Waldo admin portal
Click Desks and parking
Find the building in question and click the pen icon ✏️ to open its settings
Scroll to the Check-in section
Enable Check-in for fixed desk
ℹ️ This change will apply to all users with a dedicated desk in that building.
