Applicable plans: ❎ The free plan, ❎ The complete plan
💡 Here’s how it works:
When a user is queued for a desk and a spot becomes available, Waldo will notify them — but the timing of that notification depends on a few things.
⏰ Timing matters
- If the daily notification has already been sent, the user will get an instant notification.
- If the daily notification hasn’t been sent yet, no separate notification is triggered — the info will be included in the daily notification.
📅 Either way, they’ll know the day before
Regardless of how or when the user gets a desk, they’ll always be notified the day before they’re due to come in. That gives them time to plan.
🧠 Let’s break it down with examples
Example 1:
It’s Monday. You’re queued for Thursday.
Someone frees up their desk for Thursday → you get it.
➡️ You’ll receive the notification on Wednesday.
Example 2:
It’s Monday. You’re queued for Tuesday.
Someone frees up their desk for Tuesday → you get it.
➡️ You’ll receive the notification on Monday, either:
- In the daily notification (if it hasn’t been sent yet), or
- In a separate message (if the daily notification is already out)
ℹ️ This logic ensures users are always in the loop and can prepare ahead of time — without getting overwhelmed with too many alerts.
