What happens when you cancel a booking

When you cancel a booking from the Reservations tab, Waldo automatically looks for someone on the waiting list to take over the spot.

But this doesn’t happen instantly — on average, it takes around 4 minutes to reassign the spot.

So don’t worry if you don’t see any changes immediately in the app. Waldo is quietly working in the background.

Exception: cancellations via the Waldo app

If you cancel your own booking directly from the Waldo app, the reassignment is instant. The spot is immediately offered to someone on the waiting list — no delay at all ⚡
