Applicable plans: ❎ The free plan, ❎ The complete plan
The Calendar History export provides detailed information about user location changes over time. Each row in the file represents an action made by or for a user related to their location—whether working remotely, at the office, on a work trip, or on time off.
Below is an overview of each column in the file and how to interpret them.
Example of location history
July 21, 4pm: Bob Dumont booked desk D1 for July 29. July 23, 2pm: Bob cancelled the D1 booking and changed his location to Remote for July 29. July 25, 1pm: Bob changed his location from Remote to "At the office" for July 29 and booked desk D2. July 29, 10am: Bob didn’t check in. Desk D2 was released, and his location was automatically reset to Remote.
Column-by-column explanation
📅 Change date
Date when the change was made in the system.
⚠️ It can differ from the Local start date, which represents the actual day of the location.
🧭 Action
Tells what kind of change occurred:
- INSERT: A new location was added.
- UPDATE: A change to an existing location.
- DELETE: A location was removed.
🆔 EventId
Unique ID for a user’s location on a given day.
📌 It stays the same even if the location is updated multiple times for that day.
If the user works half-day (e.g. morning at the office, afternoon remote), there will be two eventIds.
If the location has been deleted (DELETE) by the Outlook Sync or by the Admin or because it's a Guest booking, a new EventId is created. Check the Set by column to check who made the change.
🌍 Timezone
Represents the user’s timezone.
📆 Local start date / Local end date
Dates when the location applies. Usually the same unless the user is working half-days.
🧑 Set by
Indicates how the location was added or updated:
- Set by Guest
- Set by Admin
-
Set by (self-set by the user)
