Concepts and useful info
- An office usually refers to a building.
- Each parking setup is linked to a single office—only one parking per office.
- Parking contains spaces, not areas like an office does.
- Each space can be tagged with a vehicle type and a parking tag.
- Default vehicle types: car, motorbike, bicycle, e-car.
Default tags: Guest, Reduced Mobility, Sheltered. - Users can be assigned to one or more offices and one parking.
- Deleting an office removes everything tied to it—areas, desks, parking, and spaces.
Best practices
- Create one office per building.
- Make sure each office has its own parking.
- Keep vehicle types and tags short and easy to understand—users pick them during onboarding.
- You can pre-assign them, but it’s often smoother if users choose their type themselves.
1 – Set up your parking
- Log in at admin.hellowaldo.app with Microsoft 365.
- Go to Desk, rooms and parkings → Entity → Building.
- Click Add parking.
- Select the office you want to connect it to (e.g. Dublin Office).
2 – Set vehicle types & parking tags
ℹ️ Information: Tags describe the kind of spot (e.g. Guest). Vehicle types define what parks there (e.g. bike).
- Click Tags.
- Rename, add, or remove vehicle types.
- Create parking tags like “Indoor” or “Reduced Mobility”.
💡 Tip: Keep it simple—these appear during onboarding.
3 – Add parking spaces
- Go to Parking lots → Add new parking.
- Select the office these spaces belong to.
- Click Parking spaces → Add spaces.
- Choose how many, and define their vehicle type and tags.
Example: 10 indoor charging spots for electric cars ⚡🚗
4 – Assign to users
- Head to Users → Users.
- Select a user.
- Enable parking reservation for them.
- Allow the appropriate vehicle type.
- If needed, set must-haves, nice-to-haves, or favorites.
You're all set! 🚀 Waldo now takes care of parking occupancy and reservations automatically—so you don’t have to.
